Gato Heroi, Infinity, Becker, Hobie, Regular surfbaords, and of course Almond are some of the boards I’ve had the pleasure to surf with. If it floats than im gonna surf with it and for only being 19 we have a versatile quiver that even some old guys in their 60′s down at San O dont have the luxury to own. The two funnest boards however that I have surfed with were yours. I actually just bought a Sandia Fish from you guys and i’ve surfed with the pogie as well but nothings able to compare to the smooth and responsiveness of a Sandia. There so much fun, almost to much fun I have skipped way to many days of school to go surf with that board and thru all the phone calls and principals e-mails to my parents it was always worth it.. from ankle slappers to head high churches the only board your ever gonna need is a Sandia. There just too much fun and anyone from weekend warriors to Joel Tudor can surf with it. I’ve got two brothers and my Dad who taught me how to surf. My whole family surfs and no one enjoys spending time in the water as much as us. We could never had enough surf boards but I know that if we had another one in our garage no one would be more thankful than my brothers and I. I’d be even better cause my brothers would stop stealing it to surf with cause they love your boards as much as i do. Thanks for your time guys.

So Dave called me up, showed me some of his amazing doodles regarding his new logo ideas, we rethought his look and brand, schemed up some more ideas, and then I left his Newport store to camp out at my desk. What came next was drawing, sketching, doodling. Chai teas, Lakers games, Fringe on Hulu (how great is Walter?), and bad musical/soundtrack playlists were also involved. Following is the 3 rounds of logo phases that resulted (starting with the final versions and going back to the initial sketches). Revisions led to a set of new supporting logos for Dave to use to subtly redefine the look and vibe of his surfboard shop. Visit Dave’s website over here. [...]
